News   Rugrats on Their Way to the GBA
- Posted By Michael Loewer, 09.27.2001

THQ Inc. and Nickelodeon today announced the release of Rugrats Castle Capers for Game Boy Advance.

Rugrats Castle Capers represents THQ's 11th Rugrats release, a franchise with worldwide sales in excess of seven million units since 1998. The game is one of several THQ releases for holiday 2001 with an `E' (Everyone) rating targeting the kids demographic. Rugrats Castle Capers is now available at major retail outlets nationwide.

Peter Dille, Vice President of Marketing at THQ had this to say:

"Rugrats Game Boy and Game Boy Color game sales exceed 1.5 million units in the U.S. alone, according to TRST data. We are delighted to be bringing the tremendously popular Rugrats brand to Game Boy Advance for the first time this holiday."

Stephen Youngwood, Vice President of Publishing and Interactive for Nickelodeon added:

"According to Nielsen ratings, Rugrats is the No. 1 kids show for the 4th year running. Nickelodeon looks forward to working with THQ in delivering more fun Rugrats games for other new systems in the future."

Rugrats: Castle Capers features all the Rugrats in a brand new adventure. Stu is commissioned to build a playground set for the Reptar Pizza restaurant chain. When Angelica spies the set in the backyard, she believes it's a castle, deems herself queen and takes all the babies' favorite possessions. Now the babies must band together to retrieve their belongings. Players travel through six different levels including snow, bean stalks, and candy themes. Players will also encounter real boss characters and enjoy up to three Rugrats interacting on screen at one time.

Tommy is a freakin' genius. I can only hope I was that cool as a baby. Oooh, yeah...
