News   Rocket Power Continues on the Game Boy Advance
- Posted By Michael Loewer, 09.17.2001

Following the recent release of Rocket Power: Team Rocket Rescue for PlayStation, Rocket Power: Dream Scheme is the first Rocket Power adventure for the Game Boy Advance and the third installment in THQ's Rocket Power videogame franchise. Rocket Power: Dream Scheme was developed by THQ development studio, Helixe, and is now available at major retail outlets nationwide.

Alison Locke, Executive Vice President of North American Publishing for THQ remarked:

"Rocket Power is the number-three-ranked show on all kids TV among kids aged 2-11 according to Nielsen ratings. The millions of Rocket Power fans now have a brand-new handheld adventure that takes full advantage of Nintendo's revolutionary handheld gaming technology."

Stephen Youngwood, Vice President of Interactive Products and Publishing for Nickelodeon, added:

"'Rocket Power: Gettin' Air' for Game Boy Color launched at No. 3 on the Game Boy Color charts back in March. The Rocket Power property's extreme sports theme lends itself easily to videogame adventures, and we are delighted that 'Rocket Power: Dream Scheme' marks Nickelodeon's debut on the popular handheld Game Boy Advance system."

In Rocket Power: Dream Scheme, players can take on the role of Otto, Reggie, Twister and Sam through 19 levels of gameplay in their quest to save Ocean Shores from the evil Dr. Stimpleton. The three different gameplay styles incorporate the extreme sports action of the TV show with skateboarding, rollerblading and Pogo Stick hopping in varied environments, from the halls of their school to the island of Dr. Stimpleton and back again.
