News   New Donkey Kong game to appear at E3?
- Posted By Joe Ridino, 05.05.2001

Nintendojo reported today that Perrin Kaplan, vice president of Nintendo’s corporate affairs, conducted an interview with Rolling Stone magazine about Nintendo’s E3 showing this year. Kaplan stated that Donkey Kong, as well as Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, and some M-rated games will be shown at the show.

Kaplan’s comments might be a throw-off, however, for obvious reasons. Smash Brothers 2 was just announced a few days ago on IGN Cube. You must remember that Donkey Kong was a playable character in the original Smash Brothers title, so Kaplan might be referring to DK’s appearance in SB2, not in his own videogame.
