News   Some Shots From E3
- Posted By Lander Clinton, 05.27.2005

Here are some points of interest from the show last week. We have Nintendo's press conference, Nintendo's booth from many angles, the GameBoy Micro area, Natsume's booth, Activision's booth, Namco's booth (who wouldn't give me a press kit, by the way).

Check out Sony's giant PSP sign, but more importantly check out the best part of the PSP area, the dangling sphere chairs. More people will play your game if you give them a space to sit down. I played a PSP golf game for 10 minutes. I was not interested in the game.

Of course, Microsoft's idea of a chair looks very much like the It Machine from South Park. Those of you who have seen the episode know that Microsoft does that to us every day.

Compare the shots of the NRev and the Xbox 360. I like that the NRev is small, but I honestly like the curvature of the 360 more than the flatness of the NRev. It looks like they copied the PS2. It's about time Nintendo stole something from Sony....

We also got to see the very cool Zelda area, which was laid out like the overworld and a dungeon from Hyrule. It was very dark in there so some of the shots didn't come out that great. Blame Lee. Or Dorwart, who bought the camera Lee wants. Heh heh, I'm dropping names to sound important. That's what Batman always does.

Speaking of Batman, we also saw the Batmobile. Enjoy its bulkiness. Real bats would never drive that thing. Star Wars was great. The end.
