News   Metroid Prime: Hunters Overhaul?
- Posted By Lander Clinton, 02.23.2005

During tonight's Smallville (MUST we keep this stupid witch story? If you've been watching you're as sick of it as I am) I noticed a commercial for Metroid Prime: Hunters (with tagline "Coming Soon").

The commerical showed the player using the stylus to tap and shoot enemies on the lower screen. This was the set-up at E3 last year which was pretty awful. You used the stylus to look and shoot, so everytime you'd tap the screen to shoot you'd also move a little.

The demo "First Hunt" that came with the DS fixed this by putting the action on the top screen and a map on the bottom. You still used the stylus to look, but the L button was used to shoot. It was much more intuitive. Let's hope Nintendo offers many control set-ups for the final version.

In other DS news, I got Wario Ware: Touched today. Expect a review next year.
