News   Metroid Prime: Hunters
- Posted By Lander Clinton, 10.07.2004

The new screenshots for Metroid Prime: Hunters: First Hunt, the pack-in demo that comes with the DS, has the map and game screens reversed from E3.

At E3 the game was on the bottom, and you could tap the screen to shoot or trace the stylus around the screen to look around (while charging your weapon). Using the same controls to fire and move was pretty awkward, but it's sad to see the game move more distant from the player (the top, no-touchy screen) because they couldn't get around the awkwardness.

Also of note, Super Mario 64 DS has an option to use your thumb on the bottom screen like an analog stick, something I said any DS game could do when people were bashing it for a lack of an analog stick. So nya nya.
