Bonus Disc Bonanza

Want to follow up your Ocarina of Time Master Quest disc? Played out the Viewtiful Joe level on the multi-game preview disc? Don't worry, several cool bonuses are on the way to devoted GameCube fans.
For starters, anyone preordering Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike can now pick up a disc containing a playable level (from the E3 build), an art gallery, previews of Rebel Strike and Gladius, and Atari's 1982 Star Wars arcade game. They're available right now at a certain store we'll call Electronics B. No, that's too obvious- E. Boutique. Not kidding, the disc takes up slightly more space on the memory card than the entire Rogue Leader.
Next up is the newly announced Mario Kart: Double Dash!! bonus disc, which Nintendo says is "effective immediately" at retailers, although they won't give details about the content of the disc until a few weeks from now, so don't look for it just yet. The disc is said to contain playable levels and previews of upcoming GameCube games.
Anyone who preorders Ubi Soft's cel-shaded first person shooter XIII will get a CD of the game's music. I'm hoping some of XIII's cast, like David Duchovney and Adam West, will get a duet in the soundtrack (most likely professing their undying love for themselves, but not for each other).
Although it's not a disc, people who preorder The Simpsons: Hit and Run will get a hat with the game's logo. But it's still the same game! But it has a new hat!
The coolest disc is still a rumor at this point, reported by the recently resurrected gameinformer.com. Nintendo may be planning a GameCube pack-in disc with the entire Legend of Zelda, Zelda 2, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and a feature on Zelda over the ages crammed in. It is unknown if this very cool disc will be available to the LOYAL FANS WHO ALREADY BOUGHT THEIR GAMECUBES!!!!!! Excuse me... Maybe it will be available to gamers who use Nintendo's new reward system for registering games.
Personally, I'd like to see Tetra's Trackers included with the disc, since I doubt the game would sell well by itself against the much more Zelda-y Four Swords.
In the meantime, it's good to see companies, especially Nintendo, offering incentives to preorder games. It's good for them, it's good for us, it's good for the whales.
