News   StarFox 2 Revival
- Posted By Lander Clinton, 03.03.2003

Shigeru Miyamoto was recently asked in an interview if Nintendo would release other free promotional discs with games in the future. Specifically named as a candidate was StarFox 2, which is one of the most near-completion games to be canceled by Nintendo.

Miyamoto seemed to like the idea, and although some of the game's elements were incorporated into StarFox 64, the two had less in common than Ocarina and Ocarina: Master Quest.

StarFox 2 would be a perfect choice to promote Namco's StarFox: Armada due later this year. It originally was going to have 6 StarFox teammates, including a dog and a cat. The cat helped out in a few missions in StarFox 64, and I may have this totally wrong, but I think the dog became the StarWolf member who betrayed the StarFox team.

More as it develops.
