Sega has announced that it's toys to be given with McDonald's Happy Meals this summer will specifically be based on its Sonic The Hedgehog and Super Monkey Ball franchises.

All of the toys will be interactive, so instead of a stand-alone Sonic toy (which could still be used for the "under 3" crowd), kids (and myself) will have to get Sonic to the finish of a race. One of the Super Monkey Ball toys will have Aiai trying to catch falling bananas, much like the credits game in Super Monkey Ball 2. Sega has a slew of new Sonic games coming to every system, and though unannounced, the toys will hopefully signal that a Super Monkey Ball 3 is on the way.
