News   Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds
- Posted By Francis Bonnet, 04.25.2003

For those of us who just so happen to be huge Buffy fans but don't own an Xbox, turns out that you'll finally be able to play as your favorite vampire slayer on a cube near you. Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds is a brand-new title being developed by Eurocom for Gamecube, PS2, and Xbox, with a tentative release date of Q3, 2003.

Chaos Bleeds is a 3rd person action game, which is being developed along with the T.V. show's writers. Apparently, Chaos Bleeds takes place during Buffy's 5th season (where Dawn was introduced and Glory was the villian) in which "a dimensional bleed has been enabled by Pure Evil in order to consume all of humanity once and for all." And, of course, it's up to Buffy to stop the world from ending... yet again.

Chaos Bleeds boasts the ability to play as five different characters - Buffy, Angel, Willow, Xander or Spike - each with their own different abilities and attacks. An elaborate weapons system includes the use of just about everything from stakes, to battle axes, to electrical blasters. Multiplayer mode allows you to choose to play as either a slayer or vampire in One-on-One Combat, Last Man Standing, Team Survival, Domination or Bunny Catcher. Celebrity voices will be present in the game, although it's still unknown if the entire cast will provide their talents. On last year's Xbox game, Sarah Michelle Gellar didn't provide her voice for Buffy. Let's hope that she'll change her mind for this new title.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is now in it's 7th and final season and can be seen every Tuesday at 8pm on UPN. I'm a big fan of the show and hate to see it go off the air, but hey... at least I can still watch Angel.
