Since it's now April Fools Day in Japan, Square and Enix have officially merged as announced last fall.

The two former companies launched their new website and logo, which can be seen here today, in what is bound to prove an elaborate and expensive April Fools Day joke- not to the public, but to the unfortunate employees of the two companies.

"We just thought we'd have a little fun with our workers," said a Square vice-president. "Cecil is so gonna turn evil again after he finds out!," he said of the once Final Fantasy star, now on the assembly line of Cloud action figures.

Although a merge would help both companies financially and possibly produce cross-over games, the "higher-ups" just wanted to have some fun.
