News   EA Goes Looney
- Posted By Lander Clinton, 01.23.2003

Warthog announced today its plans to develop a Looney Tunes game to be co-published by Electronic Arts and Warner Bros. across multiple consoles.

The game, Looney Tunes: Back In Action, will be released the same day as the feature film of the same name this November. The film will mix live-action and animation like Space Jam and Who Framed Rogger Rabbit? It is unlikely the filmmakers will animate stars Brendan Frasier and Jenna Elfman and have live-action ducks and bunnies, but that would make it quite "looney."

Both the movie and the game feature the Looney Tunes characters in a race around the world looking for the Blue Monkey Diamond and Frasier's father, who apparently left after viewing Encino Man.

Warthog has not announced if the game will feature cel-shaded graphics to emulate the animated characters. "Cel-shading makes games look kiddy, and that's not what Looney Tunes is all about," said Bubba, the NGenres coffee boy. "Now hand me those coffee beans to pour over this vomit."

Look for Looney Tunes: Back In Action for GameCube and GBA this November.
