News   Other New Pokemon Game In The Works
- Posted By Lander Clinton, 01.03.2003

In a surprise move today, Nintendo announced it was considering making another new Game Boy Advance Pokemon game, this one only working in conjunction with the new GameCube game, which can only be played after owning Pokemon Ruby or Sapphire for the GBA.

"While we want the games themselves to be as non-linear as possible, the game-buying progression should be very linear to ensure, you know, like, more money!" said an unnamed Nintendo rep unauthorized to leave the testing rooms.

The game will feature a new Pokemon, "Moolah," a creature so obsessed with money and collecting things that the player must earn every pokemon a second time for Moolah's personal collection. This includes his very own Moolah. It is not known whether THAT Moolah will have to collect every Pokemon but the Nintendo rep wouldn't discount it as a possible sequel.

The press asked the rep if these games would work with the GameCube-GBA player to make it easier on the player, but the answer was no.

"Due to the nature of the connectivity the GameCube-GBA player will not be an effective medium" said the rep. He did say, however, that owning the Genesis add-ons Sega CD and 32X would be vital to collecting the first 10 Pokemons, and without these systems the game would make no sense.

At that point the horrifying premise of the games became perfectly clear and every one quietly left the room single file.
