News   Super Smash Bros. Melee Music CD
- Posted By Francis Bonnet, 12.24.2002

First the good news... looks like Nintendo will be releasing the highly anticipated orchestrated soundtrack to Super Smash Bros. Melee here in the U.S. Great! Now for the bad news (depending on how you look at it)... Apparently the CD will only be available to subscribers of Nintendo Power, Nintendo's in-house gaming publication.

Every January, Nintendo Power includes many freebies such as trading cards, extra comics, coupons, and exclusive pages as holiday gifts for their subscribers. However, Nintendo has gone all out this year and decided that the Super Smash Bros. Melee soundtrack would be a great gift for subscribers this year. So that this promotion is SUBSCRIBER EXCLUSIVE - those of you who plan on picking up the January issue of NP from the newstand should be wary that you will NOT be receiving any of the subscriber bonuses (which includes the CD).

The Super Smash Bros. Melee Live Orchestra was held in Japan earlier this year and the CD will be collecting various tunes from the performance. The different tracks on the CD are as follows:

Track 01: Planet Corneria

Track 02: Jungle Garden

Track 03: Great Bay Shrine

Track 04: Dr. Mario

Track 05: Original Medley

Track 06: Fountain of Dreams

Track 07: Pokemon Medley

Track 08: Opening

Track 09: Planet Vemon

Track 10: Yoshi's Story

Track 11: Depth of Brinstar

Track 12: Smash Bros. Great Medley

Track 13: Fire Emblem

Track 14: Green Greens

Track 15: Rainbow Cruise

Well, Nintendo Power subscribers sure are going to enjoy their January issue. Luckily for me, I've been subscribing to the magazine for over 12 years! I'll be sure to write a short review of the CD after receiving my Janauary issue.
