- Posted By Lander Clinton, 11.06.2002

SCi Games revealed today the plot of its upcoming game based on the hilarious and mistreated Fox series, Futurama.

The 3rd person action game will feature Fry, Bender, Leela, and Dr. Zoidberg trying to stop Mom (®, ™, ©, Mom Enterprises) from enslaving all humans and using the planet Earth as a vehicle to conquer the known universe. It is unknown if the game will cross into the parrallel universe, but Parrallel Bender deserves whatever he gets after gloating over his hat.

Each character will have their own moves and weapons and playing style, and will likely each be needed to solve different puzzles.

Players will get to explore an Asteroid Belt, New New York, Old New York (no mention of York, or the town name I've always been rooting for, "Cool York"), as well as several other locations recreated from the series and made specifically for the game.

Futurama features the voice talents of the show's cast and the writing talents of the show's writers (makes sense, I was worried they might bring in the writers from The Golden Girls).

Look for this cel-shaded adventure next Spring, assuming it doesn't get pushed back by a football game...
