News   GameCube Is Not Nintendo's Last Console
- Posted By Lander Clinton, 11.01.2002

Nintendo of America's Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, the very cool Peter MacDougal, gave a state-of-the-industry speech today at the Gerard Klauer Mattison Conferencein in which he clarified Nintendo's future.

"Nintendo is in the software business- to stay. Nintendo is in the handheld business- to stay. And Nintendo is most certainly in the home console business- to stay. Work is well underway on the successor technology to both Game Boy Advance and Nintendo GameCube."

Nintendo, apparently, will also stay in the carpel tunnel business for the foreseeable future.

MacDougal also spoke of Nintendo's new alliances with Sega, Namco, and Capcom (Rare- the tribe has spoken, it's time for you to go), targeting the older demographic, and how the videogame industry is doing better than almost everything else in the world. Take THAT, Carrot Top! I'm sorry, I just like to take every oppurtunity to deride that prop-comic.
