News   Gameboy Advance 2???
- Posted By Francis Bonnet, 10.09.2002

Although none of this is fact yet, rumors on the internet are circulating that Nintendo has an update to their popular Gameboy Advance in the works. According to Edge Magazine, a well-respected British gaming publication, they were somehow able to obtain exclusive specs on the system before Nintendo was to release it to the public. This same news was also reported by CVG, a British gaming website.

According to the magazine Gameboy Advance 2 will feature a larger RAM capacity as well as a faster processor, a flip-over screen that will also contain a "light" option for gamers playing in the dark, a lithium-based battery capable of 10 hours of play (similar to a cell phone battery), four face buttons instead of two, a new shape that accomidates for design changes, and a retail price of about 80 U.S. dollars.

Remember, Nintendo hasn't announced anything and what's been reported here is only rumor, not fact. Personally, this seems very un-Nintendo like, seeing as they usually wait about five years before introducing an update to one of their consoles. Check back for more news as it breaks.
