News   Super Mario Sunshine Boosts Sales in Europe
- Posted By Francis Bonnet, 10.08.2002

Reports coming out of Europe confirm that Super Mario Sunshine has sold 175,000 copies in only the first weekend of release. Gamecube, which is already a success in Europe, has just gotten bigger with a 40% boost in console sales since Super Mario Sunshine was released there. That means that one out of every five owners of a Gamecube picked up a copy of Mario's latest adventure. With Europian sales mirroring the success the title has had here in the U.S. and over in Japan, Mario is proving once again that Nintendo's still got it.
