News   Mega Man Battle Network: Transmission on Gamecube
- Posted By Francis Bonnet, 09.16.2002

A few weeks ago it was revealed that Capcom was developing a Mega Man title for Nintendo's Gamecube. Although nothing was known about the title then, it was just announced by Capcom of Japan that the game will be part of the Rockman EXE series, or the Mega Man Battle Network series as it's called here in the U.S.

The official name of the title is Rockman EXE: Transmission... my guess is that the U.S. name will probably be Mega Man Battle Network: Transmission, or something along those lines. It was also announced that the new Mega Man game would be able to interface with Rockman EXE 3/Mega Man Battle Network 3, which has been announced for Gameboy Advance.

If you're interested in seeing some screen shots, click here to see a Japanese advertisement of the game (scroll to the bottom of the ad). The image is courtesy of Mega Man Outpost. The game appears to use the popular cel-shading technique that has been used in games like Klonoa 2 and Jet Grind Radio. More about the game should be released at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.
