News   UPDATE: New Skies Of Arcadia Info
- Posted By Eric Tajchman, 07.31.2002

When Sega announced that it would be porting over Eternal Arcadia (Skies of Arcadia in the U.S.) from the Dreamcast to the GameCube, there was no mention if the title would be a straight port or if it would have new features. According to The Magic Box, Sega of Japan has made some comments concerning Eternal Arcadia. The GameCube version will not just be a simple port but will have a new female headhunter character, will have new events not found in the Dreamcast version, and will feature slightly improved graphics over the original. Sega has also stated that Eternal Arcadia is still on schedule to release by the end of the year in Japan, but there is still no word on when Skies of Arcadia will see a U.S. release.

UPDATE: 6:45 PM CST, July 31, 2002
The French gaming site Newtechnix is also reporting that Skies of Arcadia will feature a new ship as well, and they even have a picture of both the new character and the ship. Click here to see for yourself.
