News   Videogames: They're Good For What Ails Ya!
- Posted By Lander Clinton, 07.12.2002

Well they finally did it, a study shows that playing videogames can actually damage the brain.

Akio Mori, a professor at Nihon University's College of Humanities and Sciences in Japan, analyzed brain waves of 240 people and showed that people who play videogames get angry easier and have trouble associating with others. Keep in mind that you have to PLAY the games- the games themselves shouldn't hurt your brain unless you like shoving them up your nose...

The Japanese Mainichi (everday) newspaper reported that people who played videogames longer showed less activity in the prefrontal regions of their brains, which control emotion and creativity. People who continually played games did not recover in the periods when they weren't playing games.

Look for more news on this never, since I'm just too damn pissed off to write about it!! Now, where's my copy of Eternal Darkness- that will help my mind...
