News   Activision Owns June 2002 in the UK
- Posted By Michael Loewer, 07.11.2002

According to the official ELSPA / Chart-Track monthly report of PC and console game sales in the U.K., Activision, Inc. achieved record market share in both volume and value during the month of June 2002. The company's products represented 8.5% of the market by volume and 10.1% by value, an increase of 115% in volume and 176% in value over May 2.

I'll tell you what, it's fascinating to watch the rise-and-fall of gaming companies as consoles come and go. Activision and the insanely powerful Universal Interactive are going to be major players in the coming years. I'd also keep an eye on Namco -- that Triforce alliance Nintendo started is going to make them huge again.

You know what the REAL question is on gamers minds, though?

Whatever happened to Jaleco?

Bases Loaded...bwahahahaaaa...
