News   GameCube $100 Lower Than X-Box!
- Posted By Joe Ridino, 05.21.2001

Nintendo has finally revealed the final price for the GameCube. The price is $199, one hundred dollars lower than the price of the X-Box. This shows that Nintendo is becoming more and more competitive as the other console makers are launching their systems with a higher price tag. This is great news for gamers everywhere, since a lot more people will be able to afford the system.

Nintendo also told the press that the GameCube will have many titles available by the end of the year. We know what they are:

Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II
Star Fox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet
Pikmin
Super Smash Brothers Melee
Luigi’s Mansion
Eternal Darkness
Wave Race: Blue Storm

These games will be priced at $49.00 each. Considering N64 games were around $59-$69, these games should become million sellers within weeks.

Microsoft announced that the X-Box will have 80 titles for its system when it launches in November. Who has enough money to buy all these games? Nintendo is delivering the popular franchises that gamers want to play. Microsoft is just throwing money at developers to make games for their console.
