News   Program Line-Up For All Gaming Network Revealed
- Posted By Lander Clinton, 04.12.2002

Charles Hirschhorn, Founder and CEO of G4 Media, announced today the full line-up of shows for the world's first 24-hour videogame network, uh, G4.

“We have assembled the best of network, cable and video game experience to create truly original shows,” said Hirschhorn. "Gamers deserve their own network and we’re thrilled to be delivering it.”

Nerd: But what about the Sega network? (fixes glasses)
Me: That never happened, now do my math homework!

G4 will have 13 original weekly series, including "Icons," a look at the creator's of videogames, and "Arena," a sports game series hosted by Star Trek's Wil Wheaton.

Nerd: .... ..... oh, uh, I'm supposed to say "Yay!" Look, not all nerds like Star Trek, I'm being unfairly stereotyped! (shot dead)

The G4 Network was created by Comcast in response to the huge surge in the popularity of videogames in recent years. Last year alone Americans spent 9.4 billion dollars on videogames, and after careful consideration, Comcast realized it liked money.

G4 goes live on April 24. The best part is you can still play your Game Boy while watching, unless of course you bought the GBA TV converter.
