News   Doshin the Giant Screenshots
- Posted By Michael Loewer, 03.20.2002

I think that by now most Nintendo gamers are relatively familiar with Doshin the Giant. It was originally produced for the 64DD, but was only released in Japan for the six or so people that owned that particular console add-on.

IGN reviewed an import copy a couple of years ago now, and pretty much trashed it. The premise was exceedingly bizarre, Japanese style. Unfortunately, it just didn't come out right, quirky without the usual addictive Japanese touch.

Now, Nintendo has created a new version for the Cube. Showcasing the power of the GameCube and the blatant evolution of DVD storage technology, this Doshin world is a full 10 times larger than its already relatively large predecessor. In addition, the graphics have been revamped a good deal, so this is far more than a port. Only time will tell if the gaming experience is quirky and fun or simply weird.

Anyway, here's where you can find the screenshots, courtesy of IGN:
