News   Power Rangers Gone Wild!
- Posted By Eric Tajchman, 03.13.2002

Aside from the obvious jokes of the title, another Power Rangers game is set to debut on the little gaming machine.

March 13, 2002--THQ Inc. (NASDAQ NMS:THQI) today announced "Power Rangers Wild Force" for Game Boy(R) Advance.

The Power Rangers TV show celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2002 with the release of its new series, "Power Rangers Wild Force."

The show airs Fridays at 8:00 AM ET/PT on ABC Family. THQ's Game Boy Advance title based on "Power Rangers Wild Force" from BVS, formerly Saban, will mark the third installment of Power Rangers for the Nintendo handheld systems since 2000. In development by Natsume, "Power Rangers Wild Force" is scheduled to launch in summer 2002.

"The Power Rangers brand continues to thrive as new generations of boys ages 3-11 discover the TV show," said Peter Dille, vice president, marketing, THQ. "Over the past two years, THQ's Power Rangers videogames have sold more than one million units, proving the brand's remarkable staying power with this market."

In "Power Rangers Wild Force" for Game Boy Advance, young gamers will play as their favorite Power Ranger, this time armed with the strength and characteristics of the Power Animals including the Bison, Tiger, Shark, Eagle and Lion. The top-down, 3D exploration adventure allows players to take on the Org, an ancient race of villains who are out to destroy the balance of nature.
