News   Hey Arnold! The Movie for Game Boy Advance
- Posted By Eric Tajchman, 03.12.2002

Whatever happened to Ren & Stimpy? They were by far the best Nicktoon. Anywhoo, another Nickelodeon property heads over to the theaters and to the Game Boy Advance.

THQ Inc. (Nasdaq:THQI) today announced interactive publishing rights to "Hey Arnold! The Movie," Nickelodeon's first animated feature film based on their hit TV show, "Hey Arnold!"(TM).
"Hey Arnold! The Movie" for Game Boy(R) Advance is scheduled for release concurrent with the movie in June 2002.

"'Hey Arnold!' is one of the highest rated shows on television among kids 2 to 11 years old and is as popular with kids as Nickelodeon's own 'Rugrats' and 'SpongeBob SquarePants,'" stated Peter Dille, vice president of marketing, THQ. "We are delighted with the success of our Nickelodeon line-up this holiday and to be working with Nickelodeon in bringing another proven entertainment property to the interactive space."

"THQ's unparalleled ability to deliver quality titles based on Nickelodeon's top properties makes them the ideal interactive partner," said Steve Youngwood, vice president, interactive products and publishing, Nickelodeon consumer products. "We look forward to the successful launch of 'Hey Arnold! The Movie' for Game Boy Advance alongside what we expect to be one of the most anticipated animated motion pictures in 2002, 'Hey Arnold! The Movie.'"

In "Hey Arnold! The Movie," players assume the role of Arnold as he rallies his friends and relatives to stop an unsavory businessman from tearing down their neighborhood to build a Super Beeper Emporium. Players must help Arnold find and organize his friends so that they can complete certain tasks on different levels. The game features five environments with multiple levels set in Arnold's neighborhood including the Beeper Emporium headquarters, Arnold's house and secret underground areas in and around the city.
