Editorials   Game Of The Month: May
- By Lander Clinton

So what was my favorite game released last month? Nothing! I didn't get any of them. Matrix and Hulk look pretty good though, but I really didn't like The Matrix Reloaded.

I have, however, discovered a newfound interest in all things Monkey Ball. I finally opened Master mode in Super Monkey Ball 2, and was able to beat Expert, Expert Extra, Master, and Master Extra on one continue with 12 lives left (starting from 99 lives). If you've done better I'd like to hear about it.

I also finally opened up infinite continues in Super Monkey Ball Jr. (which I need to put more time into- damn you, fun Golden Sun!). I tried going back to Super Monkey Ball to try opening the Master mode, but you have to do the 60 levels of Expert and Expert Extra on 3 lives- that's crazy! Anyway, I grabbed some of those Sonic and Monkey Ball McDonald's Happy Meal games from Sega's booth at E3. Each one is a little handheld LCD game that takes about the level of skill for a Wario Ware microgame. Still, it's damn cool to get a videogame as a Happy Meal toy. I'm sure all the parents will appreciate that you can't turn off the beep sounds, too...

So I guess by default my favorite videogame I got last month is the Sonic car-racing McDonald's toy. Should I review that? When you can get Ocarina of Time for free I don't think it would be a fair review. Ah, what the hell- all those in favor say "Aiai!"
