Editorials   The Results Are In On Election Day!
- By Lander Clinton

Despite recent gains by Donkey Kong in this year's campaign, he has conceded the race to opponent Yoshi.

"Both carts looked like they finished at the same time," said Koopa Trooper, a former contestant who dropped out of the race to advise newcomer Wario.

"It appears that even though I left the race the A button was still pressed a few times for me," said Trooper. "I may not like him getting all the bananas, but I don't want to take any acceleration away from DK."

Non-partisan onlookers spent all day studying instant replays and "hanging A-buttons" but couldn't decide upon a clear winner. Eventually, the CPU Court was called to decide the winner and it chose Yoshi, who took his victory lap and waited for everyone else to finish.

Yoshi will have the title of Champion until the next race, 15 seconds from now.
