DS Conspiracy?
- By Lander

Could the entire DS hardware be for a secret motive? Our own Lander Clinton investigates:
Fact: Nintendo announces its "Dual Screen" hardware, and then says that DS really stands for "Developer's System." Oh really?
Fact: Nintendo said at E3 2004 that DS would not be the final name of the system, then later makes it the final name for the system. What is it about "DS" that is so important, I ask?
Fact: Nintendo remodeled the DS to look more futuristic, a clear sign that they have an interest in the future.
Fact: The DS is Nintendo's 9th system, counting NES, GB, SNES, VB, N64, GBC, GBA, GCN, and DS.
Fact: Nintendo GameCube is officially abbreviated GCN, not NGC. Why put the N at the end?
Ladies and gentlemen readers (okay, if you're reading this site, just gentlemen will suffice), I say Nintendo's efforts are for the sole purpose of resurrecting Star Trek: Deep Space Nine!
I'm sure pretty soon Nintendo will tell us the official abbreviation of the DS is DSN. The word "Nine" can be spelled from letters in "Nintendo," and as previously stated, the DS is Nintendo's 9th system. Undoubtedly Reggie Fils-Aime will soon be announcing that Nintendo: DS9 is the official title of the handheld.
It is still unclear however what Nintendo hopes to accomplish with this, a mini-series? A movie? A DS9-specific spin-off? Extra action figures to play with? To find out I went straight to the source:
Lander: Hey Lander, why did you make all this up?
Lander: Stop talking to yourself.
Lander: Deal.
And there you have it, straight from the source of the madness.
