Editorials   New Cube Owners, Vol. 9
- By Lander Clinton

I thought I'd do something a little different tonight. I'll assume that you've all run out and bought every game I recommended and are now swamped with great games to play, but I don't want you to lose perspective. A wise man once said: You can only know good GameCube games if you know bad GameCube games. So here are some games you should avoid putting in your GameCube:

Charlies Angels- A Final Fight-like game amazingly worse than the movie Charlies Angels 2. Repetitive gameplay and terrible graphics.

Finding Nemo- Even kids won't appreciate this tedious game with a chunky framerate.

Monster's Inc.- That's two for two, Pixar

Shrek Extra Large and Shrek Super Party- Okay, I'll throw some Dreamworks' way too. These games are such terrible copycats of much better games in the same genres.

Mary Kate and Ashley: Sweet 16. Do you need an explanation?

P.N. 03- What a disappointment. Room after room of silver walls and boring robots. Throw in strange controls and you can just leave this one on the shelf.

Universal Studios Theme Park Adventure- Easily the worst of the GCN launch games. There was never any point to this game existing.

Okay a lot of my picks are at best known for their licenses, so how about some big name, critically hailed games I don't think you should buy? Prepare to be shocked:

Final Fantasy X and X2, Halo, Grand Theft Auto 3 and Vice City, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, or any other good games for PS2 or average games for Xbox- they simply won't work in your GameCube. Don't get them!
